Antique early German porcelain, copy of a Meissen pattern, fluted interior cup and saucer.
This is an early Meissen pattern, but not made by Meissen.
We also believe that the two pieces actually came from different factories. The cup has a whiter base porcelain to the saucer.
The cup we are reasonably confident was made by Kloster Veilsdorf c1790.
The saucer we think was made by Fűrstlich-Sachsen Weimer Porzellanfabrik, who operated between 1792 and 1800.
The cup measures 7.5 cm (3") in diameter across the top (excluding handle) by 4.5 cm (1.75") tall. The saucer has a diameter of 13 cm (5").
All measurements are approximate.
Both pieces are in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration.
The hand painted design is well executed.
