An individual hand made 'industrial' style bottle opener.
This is a large, heavy solid brass bottle opener. Shiny on one side and unpolished on the other side suggesting it has been fashioned from a piece of industrial brass, possibly by an apprentice.
It has not been designed to replicate a modern mass produced item. The saw marks are still visible on sides and it features a quite 'naive' style of pattern work.
This opener would be more suitable for a rustic bar or perhaps a 'man cave' rather than a modern setting. It could become be a topic of conversation for many who have worked in heavy industry in the past where such objects may well have been made.
This item is available online only however if visiting the Antiques Centre please visit Cabinet 138 on the Lower Ground Floor to view a selection of collectables, silverware, costume jewellery and Moorcroft pottery from early vintage pieces to more modern examples.
