A vintage Moorcroft Jardinière in the Hibiscus pattern by Walter Moorcroft.
The height is 90mm and the rim diameter 105mm.
With some Moorcroft items it can be difficult to assess age as some production runs could be quite long, and it was not until 1990 that Moorcroft began using year cyphers to show when an item was actually made.
However the style of the impressed MOORCROFT and MADE IN ENGLAND marks on the base of this Jardinière suggests it was made from 1986 but also as a there is no year cypher present the latest possible date should be 1989.
From the detail above it would be reasonable to assess the date of manufacture as c1986 to 1989.
The item is clearly of a genuine vintage age.
The Jardinière is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The design features both red and pink tone petals with colours that remain bright, and very attractive on the dark green ground.
Jardinières are somewhat less common than some other items and can offer added interest to a collection of vintage Moorcroft pottery.
