A very rare and seldom seen Stuart Period wood and iron Pricker. This item which dates to circa 16th-17th century AD, was used in conjunction with a knife to put food into the mouth. In essence the first type of fork.First seen in the late medieval period but this one of the Stuart reign. A small sliver of the wooden handle missing as shown but part of its history. These items are incredibly difficult to acquire and seldom seen on the market. Thames foreshore excavations in 1972.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
