A Roman Ladies Group Of Two Cloak Brooches And A Festoon Of Restrung Blue Glass Beads.reference no SN11261
A very rare group of two roman ladies bronze cloak brooches and a blue glass restrung bead festoon., circa circa early 2nd century AD.
It was common practice that the brooches were worn on the shoulder and with this in mind the glass bead festoon gave it extra decoration.
The brooches are the same style and size however not a matching pair which was quite normal for the period.
Lincolnshire excavations in the early 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
