A very rare roman bronze and enamel belt mount decoration.This item which dates to circa 1st -2nd decoration retains nearly all of its original enamel inlay as shown,and the remains of its fastening studs to the reverse. A small chip to the enamel as shown,done in antiquity.
A wonderful looking item which would have been worn with several other attached to a belt ,and gave out a statment of wealth and status.
