A very rare and seldom seen medieval period archers iron short sword.This item which dates to circa 15th century AD , is in excellent fully conserved condition and is free from restoration and repair.
This piece still retains its original thumb stop on the handle and pommel cap which would have housed the wooden grips. A rare survivor which would enhance any collection. Found in excavations on the thames foreshore in 1975.
