A stunning large roman decorated hasp of a herm.
This item which dates to the1st-2nd century AD ,is of exceptional quality with fine detail.
It shows a female figure with both hands to her hair, whilst from the waist down shows fur like decoration.
This item was in fact the hasp of a lock and the reverse still retains the two locking rings.
Of a large size and difficult to better.
Ex. Hertfordshire excavations in 1972.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
