A very rare large medieval period large handled terracotta jar.
This item which is in fabulous condition dates to circa 12th-14th century AD.
It is of wonderful size and proportion and has a stunning patination and colour built up over several hundred years.
Likely museum quality restoration to the handle and part of the lip as shown.
This size of vessel is now nearly impossible to find now and an incredible survivor of the period.
Size 16.0 CM in Height.
Ex. Private collection formed in the 1970s.
