A very pleasing example of a decorated medieval period Iron horse harness buckle.
This item which dates to circa 15th century AD, is in excellent allover condition.
It would have been the main buckle which held the saddle in place on a mounted knights war horse.
With an openwork heart design which may have been the symbol on the knights shield.
Ex. Private collection 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
