A Large Bronze Age Shield Boss.

A very good quality and very rare large bronze age shield boss.

This item which dates to circa 1800-1200 BC, is in excellent allover condition.

It is of plain style and form and would have been secured to the centre of a wooden war shield to provide the hand with much needed protection.

As small amount of nibbling to one edge as shown.
