A very rare Jacobean period (James 1st of England ) ladies pewter crowned heart pin brooch.
This item which dates to circa 1603-1625 AD, ( From the time of Guy Fawkes) is in stunning allover condition.
It shows an openwork crowned heart body with its original brass pin ( a pewter pin would have easily bent and fallen off .)
It has a typical dark thames river patination to the metal as shown and is free from repair and restoration.
Stunning example of a rare brooch.
Ex. Thames foreshore excavations in the 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
