These York assayed fiddle pattern teaspoons were made by James Barber, George Cattle & William North. The spoons' finials have each been monogrammed "W".
The spoons carry matching hallmarks for James, George and William, the lion rampant for sterling silver, the George IV head duty mark and the date mark for 1824.
There is no town assay mark, but this is not unusual for the York assay office who would only mark pieces "of importance" or "of significance".
The spoons are in reasonable condition. There is the normal age related surface scratching, and a few very minor dinks to the bowls.
Each spoon measures 13.2 cm (5.3") long. The combined weight is 68g.
All measurements are approximate.
