Cased Silver Gilt copies of the Royal Seals of Henry VIII of England and Francis I of France. The seals are beautifully embossed and have information plaques to the rear, as well as hooks for hanging. Each seal is marked 0015/1000, meaning they were the 15th struck out of a limited edition of 1000.
Both seals were used in 1527 for a peace treaty between France and England.
The seals and their plaques to the rear are hallmarked for London 1972 by Hennell, Frazer & Haws.
In excellent order with light surface wear. The dent to the rim of one is a copy of the original seal and not damage to the silver. The case is also in excellent order.
Approximate weight of both seals is 415 grams. The bases may be filled.
Approximate cased weight is 891 grams.
Approximate dimensions of one seal are 9.3 cm diameter and 2.5 cm height.
