Pair of early Victorian Silver Plate on Copper Sauce Tureens & Covers, circa 1840 - 1860. Each tureen is raised on four leaf shouldered paw feet and features twin leaf capped handles and an ornate rim. The domed cover features a slot for a sauce ladle and a removable cast, leaf capped, handle on a bed of leaves and flowers. One tureen and cover are marked "12" and the other is unmarked.
In excellent order with no dents, creases, or loss of plate.
Approximate weight for the pair is 2 kilos.
Approximate dimensions of one are 20.5 cm length, 13.5 cm width and 13 cm height.
