Matthew Boulton Silver Plate on Copper Partners Inkstand. Of rounded rectangular form with a lead filled applied boder of scrolls, leaves and shells. This very large inkstand contains the original two lobed cut glass inkwells, a sealing wax holder and taperstick holder with snuffer. Raised on four ornate bracket feet.

Marked to the underside for Matthew Boulton and dating to around 1835 - 1845.

In excellent order with no damage to the glass bottles. There is some copper bleed as shown in the photos and some lead showing through the applied decoration. There is a scratch to the surface under where the right hand bottle would sit, as shown in the photo of the inkstand without any bottles on it.

Approximate weight is 1.75 kilos.

Approximate dimensions are 34 cm length, 23 cm width and 12 cm height.
