The toddy ladle bears the hallmarks for James Erskine, and the Aberdeen town marks of 3 towers and a hand with dagger. The Richard Turner reference book on Scottish provincial silver dates James' work to c1792-1820.
The toddy ladle is 15.5 cm (6.1") long. The bowl is 4.5 cm (1.8") by 4 cm (1.5") and is 1.5 cm (.6") deep. It weighs 23 grams. All measurements are approximate.
