A vintage Moorcroft vase in the Hibiscus pattern.
The vase is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and only very faint crazing as often seen on vintage Moorcroft pieces.
The height of the vase is 127mm (5 inch) and the diameter 101mm (across the widest point). A substantial item weighing 405g.
The original hibiscus pattern was designed by Walter Moorcroft in 1949 and then redrawn from 1960. The coral hibiscus pattern originally from 1968, as featured on this vase, was also designed by Walter Moorcroft.
The vase has the 'Potters To The Late Queen Mary' label on the base which was used 1953 - 1978
From the detail above the date the vase was made can be assessed as c1968 - 1978 and clearly therefore a genuine vintage item.
A lovely collectors item which should prove a worthy addition to many a collection of vintage Moorcroft pottery.
