The 'Q' symbol on the base is the 'year cypher' for 2006 showing this as the actual year of production.
This pin dish was created exclusively for Moorcroft Collectors Club members and was limited to one piece per member, and was marked M.C.C. 2006.
Rachel Bishop joined Moorcroft in 1993 as only the forth designer in the company's history and quickly established herself as a senior designer, and her designs are now widely collected.
In the information leaflet which Moorcroft produced to introduce this pin dish they describe how the New Forest, as the childhood home of Rachel Bishop, had been a constant source of inspiration to her, and how in this design she had returned to images of the trees and undulating landscape of the area.
This pin dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or glaze crazing. The box is also in excellent condition.
