A very rare Snipers Trench Periscope from WW2 made by the famous optical equipment manufacturer Jobin Yvon of France, established in 1819.
This type of periscope was believed to have been used by British Snipers and is in excellent condition. It is model M.G.147, is of a tubular monocular design with a folding handle and is painted overall in camouflage colours. The periscope which is optically sound comes complete with its original hand stitched brown leather carrying case bearing military markings and a belt loop.
