A mid 18th century silver hilted English smallsword. The 32 inch Colichemarde blade appears to have been professionally polished over some very light pitting. However, this has been done very sympathetically and does not spoil the look of the sword in any way. The silver hilt carries English hallmarks for the mid 18th century and has remains of the gilding it would have had originally. This is a very nice handsome sword. There is no scabbard.
