This is a mid Victorian Aspic Mould, made of copper and then tinned on the inside.
This is small - has a diameter of 2 inches (5cm) and just under an inch deep
This mould has no splits or holes, in very good condition.
Having made your jelly and turned it out you would then add eggs - either very small birds eggs or ones fashioned out of marzipan or other food products of the time.
Dates to around 1880, these were sold in large sets so you could create spectacular displays.
