Victorian 15ct Gold & Seed Pearls Swallow Brooch circa 1880
We have 1 in stock.
A charming little late 19th century brooch in 15ct gold with split seed pearls. Swallows were often seen depicted in jewellery of this time and are a true example of the Victorian love of symbolism and sentimentality - swallows signifying faithfulness.
Stamped '15CT' on the back of one wing. On the back of the other wing is etched the number '7789' and the letters 'gL/R' - presumably manufacturing details.
(Please note - antique box in the pictipi display only)
