Lovely quality, Austrian gilt bronze pin dish by Bruno Zach cast by KK Kunst Erzgiesserei Wien, c1900.
Modelled with two pretty girls engaged in a kiss, the overall shape designed not in a heart shape as one might first expect, but as a female ‘derriere’!
Signed ‘Salat’ to the front - a pseudonym used by Zach, and stamped KKKE Wien to the reverse.
Zach is most famous for his erotic and sometimes controversial portrayal of women in bronze sculpture and this is a fine, small, example of this genre.
