Superb, French, miniature Cire Perdue Bronze sculpture, by Aime Jules Dalou (1838-1902) cast by Susse Freres, Paris c1900, of a workman rolling up his sleeves. Made for Ovington, New York. 

Entitled ‘Paysan, remontant ses manches’ signed ‘Dalou’ foundry stamp and script ‘Susse Fes Edts Paris’  and ‘Cire Perdue’ Also stamped ‘Bronze’ and ‘Ovington, New York, France’  (Ovington was a high class retailer in New York from the mid 19th century).

Very good condition overall, minor age related wear to high points.
