A 19th century South African hardwood Zulu war club 'Knobkerrie' with a long shaft and a small spherical head probably a root ball. The knobkerrie has small natural age cracks (see photos). Such clubs as this were brought back by British Soldiers following the Zulu wars of 1789 as trophies. 80cm overall.
