A very fine quality iron anglo saxon seax ( Fighting knife) blade.
This item which dates to circa 5th-7th Century AD, is in fully conserved condition.
It is of a rare form with a angular square cut tip and good solid tang which a wooden or bone grip would have been attached to .
This item would have been used as a secondary weapon by its owner after a sword or spear .
Ex. Kent collection in the 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity .
