A very good quality and fully conserved viking fishing spear head and fishing hook, circa 9th-10th century AD.
The fishing spear head still retains its original barbs .It would have been set in along shaft to allow the user to go into deeper water
to harpoon fish .The fishing hook does not have a hole to be attached to a fishing line, as it would have been set into a wooden float.
Ex. North Yorkshire collection from the 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity .
