A Viking Shipbuilder Large Iron Wedge.

A very good quality viking ship builders large iron wedge.

This item which dates to circa 9th -10th century AD, would have been used to split planks of wood to enable the ship builders to build the long ships.

Of a large size and in conserved condition.

Ex. North Yorkshire collection from the 1970s. 

As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
