A very nice solid silver penny coin of King Edward 1st.
This item which dates to circa 1272 -1307 AD , is in wonderful condition.
It shows the head of the king on the obverse side whilst the reverse shows long cross and pellets design.
Known as long shanks because of his height and the hammer of the Scots, Edward 1st was the the English king who had the Scottish patriot William Wallace put to death.
Ex. Lincolnshire excavation in 1974.
Size 2.0 CM in Dia.
