A very good quality roman ladies bronze and enamelled cloak brooch.
This item which dates to circa 2nd century AD, retains nearly all of its original enamel inlay.
It is further enhanced by having two bird headed terminals in the form of owls , one at each end.
The original fastening pin has been lost in antiquity , but this is all part of its history,
as this is likely how it was originally lost.
A wonderful piece which would compliment any collection .
Found in Suffolk in 1978.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
