A very rare and seldom seen large medieval period roundal dagger.
This item which dates to circa 15th century AD,is in excellent allover condition.
It retains its original wooden handle which still has the remains of the leather binding.
The pommel cap is still present and shows the remains of its gilding, whilst the round bronze cap between blade and handle bottom has a wonderful green patination.
A river bank find in York in the mid 1950s, this item has been fully conserved and would grace any collection.
Ex. Private collection .
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
