A very rare medieval period iron calthrop anti personnel weapon.
These items which date to the 12th-14th century AD, were thrown around defensive position so that one spike always pointed face upwards.
They we the for runner of a land mine as they would settle in the soil waiting for a foot soldier or mounted knight to approach and cause terrible injuries to the feet.
In fully conserved condition .
