A rare medieval iron cheek piece from a mounted knights War Horse.
This item which dates to circa 14th-15th century AD, is in excellent condition.
It would have sat on the horses cheek with a matching piece the other side ,with a Shaffle bit inside the horses mouth.
An interesting piece of a good size and form.
Ex.Thames Foreshore excavations from Blackfriars London 1972.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
